Project Old Plantation Farm - Kitchen

This is an open concept kitchen for a beautiful, secluded new construction cottage on the Eastern Shore, designed, assembled and installed by Virginia Kitchens. The project started with the blue prints of the house which our team used to design the kitchen space and then to coordinate with the builder for electrical outlets, plumbing, HVAC and distance between objects such as windows, doors and utilities.

Project Groomfield - Kitchen

This is a bold interpretation of the classic dark wood cabinets and large subway tiles. A family in Richmond hired Virginia Kitchens for a complete remodel of their kitchen. Our team was responsible for the kitchen design, IKEA cabinets assembly and installation, appliances installation, quartz counter top and tile backsplash. We coordinated a trusted General Contractor partner to dismantle and remove the old kitchen, to remove a wall, to paint and to install floors.

Project Borg - Kitchen

Simplicity at its best! One of the most popular doors and cover panels by IKEA is the grey BODBYN, featured in this kitchen. The designed turned out very well when matched with white elements, such as the white 36-inch farm sink, white subway tiles with grey grout lines, white Minuet quartz with grey veins in it and stainless steel appliances. For its size, this kitchen certainly stores a lot: a pantry, Lazy Susan style (carousel) base and wall cabinet, an island with 30-inch cabinet and an 15-inch pull out cabinet for 2 trash bins, pull out spice rack to the left of the range oven, build in microwave with aspiration, to free up counter top space, etc.

Project East Beach - Kitchen

This is the modern kitchen for a first-row beach house in Norfolk, Virginia. The kitchen renovation project started with the removal of the old kitchen and bulkhead soffits as well as new hardwood engineered floors by Virginia Kitchens. For the cabinets we used IKEA’s SEKTION frames and MAXIMERA drawers paired with custom built navy blue and white doors, drawer fronts and cover panels by the California based company Semihandmade. The company specializes in the manufacturing of products that work together with the IKEA kitchen cabinets.

Project Club House - Kitchen

When Hurricane Matthew hit in October 2016, it caused water damage in many homes in Virginia Beach. This home took only about a foot of water, but it was enough to ruin the kitchen and most of the furniture in the house, as well as the drywall, insulation, appliances and other electronics, which later had to be replaced. Virginia Kitchens worked with the owner to provide estimates for materials and labor and to get the necessary document in front of the insurance company in order to start the renovation process.

Project Driftwood - Kitchen

This is an IKEA kitchen in the suburban Great Bridge area of Chesapeake, VA. White birch doors, drawer fronts and cover panels (BJORKET), complemented with plain white quartz and large backsplash tiles, create a sense of simplicity and harmony. This total kitchen remodel started with designing and planning, removal and disposal of the kitchen, removal of soffits and then assembly and installation of the IKEA’s SEKTION cabinets (Made in USA).

Project Jericho - Kitchen

What if you want to change your kitchen layout? This kitchen renovation is a great example of how you can do that without spending a fortune.

In the initial kitchen layout the range oven and refrigerator were on one of the walls, the microwave was sitting on the counter top, limiting the available space and the kitchen storage space was always a problem. Virginia Kitchens redesigned the kitchen space by putting the refrigerator on a new wall, framed between two large high cabinets (i.e. pantry) and an IKEA’s refrigerator cabinet that has a special slit in the back to allow the refrigerator’s cooling radiator to properly dissipate the heat.

Project Pleasant Hall - Kitchen

This kitchen is inspired by one of the projects on the HGTV show "Property Brothers" and is constructed with IKEA cabinets. It is a dream kitchen for at least one family in Virginia Beach that hired Virginia Kitchens for total renovation of the space. With plenty of cabinets and counter top space, a bar, a peninsula and an island, pantries, build-in appliances, and a cooktop with pop-up down draft this kitchen is an IKEA master piece.

Project Waterside - Kitchen

Contrary to popular believes, smaller kitchens are actually harder to design, because there is not much space for creativity and even fewer options where to place the major appliances and the sink. IKEA may be your best bet to have a small, but great and fully functional kitchen.

Project Hutton Circle - Kitchen

Virginia Kitchens’ latest project is this urban style, warm colors kitchen near Hilltop area, Virginia Beach. The homeowner asked for a combination of the IKEA’s brown, flat panels BROKHULT, combined with white, flat VEDDINGE panels and white, frosted glass doors JUTIS as accent pieces. This combination turned out to be a perfect match with the yellow-orange walls and white-leather bar chairs.
